We are helping efforts to strengthen weather and climate early warning systems for small island nations. 

Early Warning Systems for Least Developed Countries and Small Island Developing States | CREWS

The Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems (CREWS) initiative is working to strengthen risk information and early warning systems for Small Island nations and Least developed countries (LDC). We produced the following two videos for CREWS-supported events at COP26.

Impact Based Cyclone Forecasting

We helped the World Meteorological Organization to promote the need to move towards "Impact Based Forecasting" so that small island nations can develop a better understanding of what the weather will do in specific locations.

The Business of Climate Change in Samoa and Jamaica 

We learn how climate forecasting is helping to improve the management of Blue Mountain Coffee in Jamaica and efforts to increase the use of hydropower in Samoa. 

Small Islands, Weather Together | Animation 

The "Small Islands, Weather Together" campaign helped to signifcantly increase investment in weather and climate forecasting systems for small island nations around the world.
